Rummi

The following is a testimony from a student Rummi to her EAP teacher Lyn.

Lyn,

At first, when I met you, I was really fearful….you know…(not confident) But, I knew that you were a good teacher. I learnt a lot of good things from you. Actually my English skill has improved more than before. You said to me “don’t use simple conjugations such as, and, but, so”…you taught me how to study English. I think this is the most important thing.

In a Korean proverb it says, “teach how to catch a fish instead of feeding it to your children” so you are an excellent teacher.

When I go back to Korea I’ll finish my masters thesis and then I’ll get a masters degree this year! My thesis will be helped by your teaching because I have to write an abstract of 2-3 pages in English. I want to stay in contact with you once I go back to Korea.

I really liked your lessons thank you very much.

Rummi

P.S. Although my paper sometimes was not so good you always said to me”well done” so I could get self confidence. Thank you so much.
