Sang Mi

I enrolled at SELC for 3 months and I’m planning to extend for another 3 months.

I decided to study English abroad because I need to speak English fluently to get a good job in Korea so at the moment I’m studying in General English. My friend has been studying in Australia for a few years now and she recommended that I come to Australia.

This month I’m in the Movie Making elective class and I’m finding it really interesting. We went on a coastal walk and visited 3 beaches to make our movie. It’s a great chance to learn how to edit movies.

If I have the chance, I may go to TAFE to do a certificate course linked to my major course of study at university in Korea, so I’m thinking about also doing EAP.

I’m really enjoying my class and getting to know my classmates. We went to Bronte Beach to have a BBQ party together and that was fun. I also really like the teaching style here at SELC as the teachers praise us often.

I’m staying in a homestay as my agent recommended that I live with native speakers to practice my English. My homestay is very comfortable and my host parents are very kind. My host mother is from England and sometimes speaks really quickly, but its good practice for my English!
