The English for Customer Service Communication (ECSC) course is designed for students wanting to acquire a working knowledge of the functional English required for employment in a cafe or restaurant.

Students completing the 4-week ECSC program receive a total of 3 certificates:

  1. The Professional Barista Certificate
  2. The Latte Art Certificate
  3. The SELC Certificate of English Competency

Levels

Elementary to Pre-Intermediate

  • Course length: 4 weeks
  • 21 hours per week plus 2 hours optional conversation class and 5 hours of self study

Professional Barista + Latte Art

SELC has a partnership with The Sydney Coffee School. Students will receive two certificates – one for barista skills and one in Latte Art. The new provider also has a jobs board providing information about the latest job vacancies at cafes in Sydney . They are also willing to recommend SELC’s students directly to cafes if their skills are good enough to work.
