English for Customer Service Communication

The English for Customer Service Communication (ECSC) course is designed for students wanting to acquire a working knowledge of the functional English required for employment in a bar or restaurant.
Students completing the 8-week ECSC program receive a total of 5 certificates:
* The Barista skills Certificate
* The Latte Art Certificate
* The RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) Certificate
* The RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) Certificate
* SELC’s Certificate for ECSC

Elementary to Pre-Intermediate
Your study
- Course length: 4 or 8 weeks
- 21 hours per week plus 2 hours optional conversation class and 5 hours of self study

Course Structure

External Certificate
Professional Barista + Latte Art :
SELC has a partnership with The Sydney Coffee School. Students will receive two certificates – one for barista skills and one in Latte Art. The new provider also has a jobs board providing information about the latest job vacancies at cafes in Sydney . They are also willing to recommend SELC’s students directly to cafes if their skills are good enough to work.
RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) + RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) :
Over 90% of bars and pubs in Australia require employees to have both RSA and RCG qualifications. As a result, the RCG certificate will now be a component of our Bar and Cocktail course, enabling students to have more work opportunities in the hospitality industry.
